Some were back-pedal operated and others were activated by rods or bowden cable from inverted levers. But within just three years, rim brakes became the industry standard and only Triumph and few other manufacturers continued to offer band brakes on their bicycles. So it's now unusual to see bicycle fitted with band brake. This machine is in good unrestored original condition, although it has been restored mechanically. enjoyed riding it. The back-pedal band brake works well, though you don't notice that it's any different in operation than coaster brake. The price is £2400 15% paypal ebay fees £2750_______Delivery Worldwide.More photos and details at the Online Bicycle Museum_______ OWNER: The Online Bicycle MuseumLOCATION: Brighton, EnglandSHIPPING COSTSUK DELIVERY by man van service: £50(Scotland/Wales/ Cornwall £80)EUROPE (inc Ireland NI): £100USA: £150REST OF WORLD: £250
