Overall in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. To give you bit of history, purchased the bike complete just over year ago from dealer in Italy and it was disassembled and shipped to Australia. The guys at Saint Cloud in Fitzroy did an amazing job putting it back together, with couple of minor changes e.g Selle Italia leather bar tape and Continental GP4000 tan wall tyres these are discontinued and hard to come by but compliment the bike beautifully. The original seatpost was slightly too short for me, so it’s been fitted with modern copy. still have the original however which will be included in the purchase. Also set of original Campagnolo pedals. The saddle is an old Fizik Arione which had in the spares draw and actually suits the bike quite well. It’s bit tatty but saddles are personal so I’ll leave it on their on the assumption that lot of buyers will fit their own saddle anyway.
The whole bike presents really well for its age and rides incredibly well. It’s pretty light for 20 year old bike and the ride quality and handling is excellent. Comfortable, lively and responsive in way that only quality steel frame can be. The rims are perfect with no noticeable brake wear, and the gearing shifts very well. Hang it on the wall if you want, but it begs to be ridden. I’m selling due to lack of space and the fact that just don’t ride it enough. honestly don’t want to part with it, but with much regret I’ve decided to let it go. Get in before change my mind!
