Here for sale is classic hand built Roy Swinnerton road bike. The frame carries the initials GL after the frame number so it’s George Longstaff built machine from his time at Swinnerton’s.Made with Reynolds 531c tubing and Campagnolo drop outs this really is work of art.The frame measures 59cm from the centre of the BB to the top and 57cm from the centre of the seat post hole to the centre of the fork steerer. The fully chromed rear triangle compliments the metallic pinky lilac paint and it’s been fitted with quality parts that this frame deserves. The bike has been fully serviced with new cables all round, brand new Continental Ultrasport 23c tyres and new bar tape. The bottom bracket has just been replaced too with pre owner but “like new” Campagnolo Record square taper bought here on eBay for £55.00.The paint and chrome is good. There are few tiny scuffs but no dents or damage. The Mavic open rims are laced with Double butted Sapin spokes into Shimano 600 hubs. Both run true with good tension and no frozen spokes. Shimano 600 derailleurs, headset, Brake calipers and gear levers with 105 SLR aero brake levers. Its got one of the best condition genuine (not re-production) San Marco Roll Black leather saddle that I’ve seen in long time. The bars are ITM Europa with aero channels and the stem has reach on 120mm giving plenty of length for the taller rider.pedals are Shimano cleat fit.A classic looking bike from one of the best frame builders of our time that receives comments and compliments on every ride.
